Welcome to the official website for the Home, Greenhouse, and Gardens where world-renowned horticulturist, Luther Burbank, lived and experimented with plants for most of his 50-year career.
This Registered National, State & City Historic Landmark is a unique city park located at the corner of Santa Rosa and Sonoma Avenues in Santa Rosa, California - across the street from City Hall and Juilliard Park. See the map to Luther Burbank Home & Gardens.
The Carriage House Gift Shop and Museum is open and walk-in docent-led tours are available April through October. The grounds are open daily from 8:00 a.m. to dusk year-round for self-guided tours and reserved Group and Children's Tours.
2015 Tour Season
Our 2015 Tour Season opens Wednesday, April 1st.
Docent-led tours of the Gardens, Home & Greenhouse will be offered Tues-Sun, every half-hour between 10-3:30.
In honor of the centennial, the Museum has added an exhibit on the Panama-Pacific International Exposition and the associated visit to Santa Rosa by Thomas Edison and Henry Ford.
The Gift Shop will be open with Luther Burbank-related items, many made locally just for us.
We look forward to sharing our fascination with Luther Burbank with you!
Did You Know?
In California, Arbor Day is celebrated on March 7th, in honor of Luther Burbank’s birthday. (In many other parts of the country it’s celebrated late in April, as being a more appropriate time, weatherwise, for planting trees.)
In fact, California celebrates Arbor Week, March 7-14. You can find more information about local activities at Arbor Week.
What’s in Bloom
We have Shasta Daisies everywhere in the Gardens right now. The roses are settling into “something in bloom all the time” and there are bright flowers in every corner. View more…
